Cabin Interior Maintenance

Composed of  five unique workshops and is responsible for ; all kind of modifications, limited construction/manufacturing, removal, repair,installation and refurbishment of cabin interior parts and components, line maintenance of cabin interior, aircraft exterior – interior deep cleaning. 

CABIN INTERIOR BASE MAINTENANCE AND DECORATIVE LAMINATING SHOP

Cabin interior quality is a significantly important concept for airlines due to its direct relation with passenger comfort. This workshop basically performs: removal/installation, check, repair and refurbishment of aircraft seats, galleys, lavatories, stowage bins, PSU’s, oxygen masks and containers, removal/installation, check and repair of on-the-wall decorative laminates and floor mats, removal/installation and check of insulation blankets, pax window polishing.All kind of repairs on cabin interior plastic and non-honeycomb composite parts.

CABIN TEXTILES SHOP

Cockpit, cabin crew and passenger seat covers, aircraft carpets and curtains have complementary effects on aircraft cabin interior quality.

This shop manufactures crew and passenger seat covers, cabin curtains and pillowcases by using approved non-flammable and intoxic fabrics. Genuine leather tailoring for specific crew and passenger seat covers is also performed with perfect manufacturing quality. Additionally, non-flammable and intoxic aircraft carpets are cut to sizes and overloked in this shop. Cleaning the cabin textiles in hygenic conditions is vital in aircraft operation concept.

AIRCRAFT SEATING SHOP

All passenger seats belonging to the aircraft in both THY fleet and contracted customers’ fleets are maintained and overhauled by this shop.

Maintenance is performed either on the aircraft or in the shop area with the same quality level on a vast range of seating types including fully electrically and electronically equipped first and business class seats. Part replacements and repairs are performed carefully by highly skilled and well-trainned technicians per associated approved component maintenance manuals.This shop is authorized to submit relevant release certificates like JAA Form-1 and FAA Form 8130 for all passenger seating systems which are in maintenance capability.

CABIN INTERIOR LINE MAINTENANCE SHOP

Basic responsibilities of this shop are; maintaining the cabin quality which has been gained through base maintenance activities, detecting and eliminating the cabin faults and disorders during ground time intervals and transit checks, performing short duration checks like line and A checks in cabin so as to maintain cabin quality and to eliminate customer complaints, embodying scheduled engineering orders.
