ORHAN BİRDAL

He was born in Kemah in 1958. He graduated in 1980 from the Istanbul Academy of Economical and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Journalism and Public Relations. He obtained his Master Degree in 1990 at the Marmara University, Institute of Social Sciences.

1976 –1978 Officer at the Turkish Agricultural Logistics Institute, 1982 Officer at the DHMİ Yeşilköy Airport,   
           
1982 – 1990 Air Traffic Controller at the DHMİ Atatürk Airport,

1990 – 1993 Air Traffic Controller at the DHMİ Erzincan Airport,

1993 - 2000 Airport Manager at the DHMİ Erzincan Airport,

2000 - 2002 Airport Senior Manager at the DHMİ Nevşehir-Kapadokya and Trabzon Airports,

2002  Acting Airport Senior Manager at the Adnan Menderes Airport,

2002 – 2003 Head of DHMI Airport Operations Department,

2003 – 2007 DHMI Deputy Director General and Member of the Board,

2007 - up to today    DHMI Director General and Chairman of the Board.

He is married and father of four children.
