Line Maintenance

THY Line Maintenance Services are performed at our home base in Istanbul, Yesilkoy Atatürk International Airport as well as at various domestic and international stations.

About THY Line Maintenance Services:

As long as there are no technical problems on the aircraft, the importance of punctuality of Line Maintenance Services is not felt as much.

However, how about if during a transit check a defect is detected which should be rectified before the departure can take place on time.

Having excellent operator awards in terms of technical dispatch reliability from aircraft manufacturers Boeing, Airbus and Avro; the technical dispatch reliability figures achieved by the THY Line Maintenance Services are among the best within AEA (Association of European Airlines) member airlines. As a member of IATP (International Airlines Technical Pool) and ELMO, (European Line Maintenance Organization) THY’s Line Maintenance Services cooperate with other airlines and provide services for over 30 operators.

Being an approved JAR-145 and FAR-145 maintenance contractor for many leading airlines, our technicians are fully licensed.

Communication Within Line Maintenance Stations:

LIMAS (Line Maintenance Automation System) system is being used within line stations for better integration. This enables the line stations to access all technical data available at the home base. This system also provides communication with the stations via internet, telex and fax.

Capabilities at Line Stations:

In accordance with TK's scheduled and charter flights to various destinations Line Maintenance activities are spread across 21 domestic and 27 foreign airports where basic repair work, technical handling and transit checks are provided daily by TK operators.
