Now Turkish Airlines is proud to offer you the chance of using your miles for upgrades when traveling on thirteen Star Alliance member carriers.
Miles&Smiles members may redeem their miles for upgrades on flights operated by the participating Star Alliance carriers as well as Turkish Airlines, either for themselves or for other people, even when they do not travel together. Online booking is the best way to book your Star Alliance upgrade whereas you can also contact Miles & Smiles Call Center for your Star Alliance Upgrade requests.
You can book an upgrade award with these airline partners:
Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airways , Asiana Airlines, Austrian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, TAP Portugal, Thai Airways ,Turkish Airlines and United.
You can have your paid and confirmed ticket upgraded no later than 24 hours prior to departure.
Star Alliance Upgrade Award can be applied only on certain applicable fares.
You are required to have a paid ticket that must be issued on the booking classes Y or B to upgrade from Economy Class to Business Class on Turkish Airlines flights.
