From 01.November onwards, cash amount of 30.ooo SGD and exceeding or its equivalent in a foreign currency will be reported to the authorities. If the persons physically bring into or out of Singapore cash exceeding sgd30.000 or equivalent in a foreign currency or send out of Singapore or bring into Singapore through postal system, cargo any other means also need to give a report. Otherwise the punishment under the law for failing to give a report is a fine not exceeding SGD 50.000 and/or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years.
