Contents /A story of wind and sand "Patara"
The story we are about to tell you from the back of a haflinger is a little different from other stories. In it are the waltz of a river and a sea with the wind, the bandy-legged steps of tiny sea-turtles frantically making their way to the water, the powerful hooves of haflinger horses and, last but not least, the Lycians, children of Anatolia and the Mediterranean...

ON WORLD LISTS
Haflinger horses originate from the arduous natural conditions of Austria. These powerful steeds, which were used as beasts of burden during World War II, were also sent to Turkey where they later continued to be bred at a stud farm in Bursa's Karacabey township. Sturdy and friendly golden-hued horses with long white manes and tails, haflingers are known for their gentleness. Even if you have no riding experience you can embark on your first tour following a brief training session.
