I say cemetery, but actually it's a single grave, on the road that leads from the city center to the Old Town. A friend of mine explained, "If only one person had died, instead of those tens of thousands, would the pain have been any less?"
The Warsaw Airport may be the least developed airport in Europe, and thanks to this it's perhaps the easiest one to get around in. Impossible to get lost here, or even be delayed. Everything is part of a modernist mechanism of functionality. You don't have to walk long distances or, when there's a problem, race from one end of the airport to the other.
EXPLORE ON FOOT
Transportation in town is cheap and easy, as trams or buses, and even taxis, will take you where you're going for a reasonable fare. But my advice is to wear comfortable shoes and visit this beautiful, and generally flat, city on foot.
This will enable you to pass through the parks that are scattered about the city. |
