You and Tayfun Tasdemir came first in the World Team Billiard Championship held in Germany , and in the World Championship in Greece . First I offer my congratulations. Can you tell us something about the tournaments? We won the championship last year as well. That was the first world team championship for Turkey in 54 years. Tayfun Tasdemir and I worked intensely for two months in preparation for this tournament. We were up against serious competition. Winning twice in a row to become world champion is a great achievement that I am proud of. When you began playing billiards, then world champion Ceulemans was your idol. Now you are an idol for many young players, and they are out to defeat you. How do you feel about it? When I won the World Championship in November 2003 and became the top ranking player in the world, I told the journalists who interviewed me that now I had to practise even more, because everyone was trying to defeat me. That puts pressure on you. So I practised even harder, with the result that I won a crushing victory over my competitors in Germany and Athens .
