As the summer season begins we have two things to celebrate. Firstly the success of Turkey's national football team in the 2002 World Cup Finals, and secondly the rise in passenger load rate to the highest level for the past two years. The latter is a source of pride for Turkish Airlines. Reservation data for July and August indicate that this summer season is going to be extremely favourable for both THY and Turkish tourism. The passenger load rate is high for all of our 103 domestic and international flight routes. In particular, the increase in passenger rates for our 77 international routes compared to 2000 and 2001 is cause for congratulation both for our airline and Turkey as a whole.

Information released concerning passenger load rates for other world airlines also confirms the upward trend. Air travel is the safest and fastest form of transportation, and these signs that the crisis is being left behind allow us to look forward to the future with optimism. I wish to inform you of two new services which we have now introduced: Holders of Elite cards by those of our passengers who are frequent flyers and members of our Miles and Miles programme now only have to dial our Flight Line 444 0 849 and then press 3 to make reservations and obtain information about fares and their membership accounts.
