INTRODUCTION
2001 / AUGUST

Dear Passengers,

Health has top priority in our lives, and we regard it as one of our foremost duties is to ensure that your health is not impaired when you are travelling with us.
In recent years medical authorities have discovered that passengers on aircraft and other vehicles may suffer from blood circulation problems if they remain without moving in the same position for four hours or more, and have recommended ways of overcoming these problems.
Passengers are advised to drink plenty of water, avoid smoking and alcoholic beverages, keep salt consumption to a minimum, take frequent short walks during the flight, not to sit with legs crossed, to wear comfortable shoes and avoid tight clothing, and to repeat Airobics exercises as frequently as possible.

INTRODUCTION
2001 / AUGUST

In the Turkish Airlines Information section in our in-flight magazine, Skylife, you will find detailed descriptions of these Airobics exercises, which will improve your blood circulation. In addition, from August 2001 onwards, you will be able to watch a video film illustrating these exercises on the television screens of our aircraft during long-distance flights.
We strongly urge that you follow these recommendations for the sake of your health.

Wishing you all a healthy flight
