The
sky was filled with colourful kites flown by
thousands of children at the Second International
Dalin Kite Festival held at Hezarfen Airport
under the slogan 'Kites Mean Freedom'.
Two
groups of children from Germany and the Netherlands
brought three-dimensional 30 metre long kites
decorated with cartoon film and Sesame Street
characters which delighted both children and
the adults who relived their childhood for the
day. As well as kite flying the festival featured
a musical show, animations, and an exciting
display of acrobatic flying by a single propellor
aircraft.
The employees of Dalin, the company which organised
the kite festival, presented wheelchairs to
the Turkish Society for the Disabled for the
use of children.
