INTRODUCTION
2001 / NOVEMBER

Dear Passengers,

Since it was established in 1933, Turkish Airlines has successfully performed its mission as a national carrier.
At the same time, the airline has developed over the years until today its modern and young fleet of aircraft fly to destinations all over the world; from America to Japan, and from Scandinavia to South Africa. By providing service of a superior quality both on the ground and in the air, the company has earned an exemplary reputation as an international world airline.
The upheavals which have affected the whole world over recent months have also had an adverse effect on the civil aviation sector, with significant reductions in passenger and flight numbers. Under these circumstances many countries have initiated support programmes for their own airlines.
