Turkish Airlines celebrates its 67th anniversary on 20 may 2000. For the past 67 years we have sought perfection, aiming for the happiness, safety and comfort of our esteemed passengers. We have never been satisfied with ahievements already gained. As Europe’s fastest growing airline company, we are continuing our endeavours to expand our flight destination network and our fleet in the year 2000.

Establisbed on 20 May 1933 on the instructions of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who created modern Turkey, Turkish Airlines has grown from a small company into one of intenational proportions over the past 67 years.

On the this occasion we wish to remember Atatürk with respect as our founder.

We also wish to remember with gratitude all the employees and executives who have made such valuable contributions to our airline from the time it was established up to the present day.

Where privatisation plans are concerned, Turkish Airlines is a company ready for this major step. The airline now developed extensive international operations and is a powerful contender in the civil aviation sector. Yet we still do not consider this sufficient. With the knowledge, skills and experience accumulated over the past 67 years, we are resolved to achieve even greater perfection for a dynamic Turkish Airlines in line with your hopes and expectations for the future.
