INTRODUCTION
2000 / OCTOBER

Dear Passengers,

Turkish Airlines is continuing to expand its operations, with the valuable support of its passengers. While on the one hand adding new destination points to our flight network, on the other we are creating new flight opportunities by means of bilateral agree-ments. As a result of the agreement signed between Turkish Airlines and American Airlines of which I gave details in Skylife’s March 2000 issue, and which followed on from the ‘Open Skies’ agreement signed by the Turkish and United States of foreign affairs, joint flights are being launched by THY and AA this month.

A similar agreement has now been signed by Turkish Airlines and Cathay Pacific Airlines. According to this agreement signed on 20 September 2000 the two airlines will operate joint flights between Istanbul and Hong Kong.
