Oasises with palms, green valleys, sandy beaches washed by sea, the majestic mosques with thin minarets, a great deal of fortresses and valuable architectural structures are among the major tourism elements of Oman wihch has started coming out of its shell.
Muscat is one of the most natural cities at the gulf. The city is home to some of the best fortresses being available at every part of country. About 2,000 fortresses are existed in Oman. The Great Mosque, Mutrah Market and The Armed Forces Museum are some of the highlights of Muscat that you should absolutely visit.
Batinah Coast forming the south borders is an excellent holiday resort. The cities placed here have magnificent fortresses each one of which are genuine. Rustaq City placed at the west of capital is known with its majestic fortress. Barka is home to one of the best fortresses of country. Samhuram, Ubar, Qalhat, Al-Blaid, Al-Manzifah and the cemetry at Bat are the most significant archeological sites of Oman.
