General Information
English sculptor David Cregeen and photographer Timurtaş Onan are coming together in London on 3 December in an exhibition titled ‘Eternal Image: a journey in Anatolia’ at The Royal Geographic Society’s Gallery Pavilion. Placed at Pamir Mountains shown as the peak of the world, Tajikistan is famous for the three routes of the Historical Silk Road passing through its lands and a geography of steep mountains and rolling valleys.
Riyad situated near the west border of country at Hissar Valley takes attention by its three-lined roads and genuine houses. Placed at 16 km west of the capital, Hissar Port City is home to fortress ruins from the the period between 16th and 19th centuries, two madrasahs, one caravansary and one mausoleum. At the hills behind Riyad, great fields are convenient for skiing and magnificent walks.
Rivers with clear waters and amazing scenes are found in the country. Muragazor Lakes at the south of Penjikent and Sogdian Lakes at the north of Riyad are natural brilliants.
You should see the ruins on the Historical Silk Road. Especially, the part of the road between Pamir and Fan mountains along green lakes is home to fantastic scenes.
