Golestan Palace carries the history to present day. National Jewels Museum, Iran National Museum, Ivan-e Takht-e Marmar, Negar Khane and Shams-Al Emarat museums are a few of the museums placed at Tehran. Shahid Motahari Mosque is one of the best examples of Islam architecture.
Esfahan, the capital at the Safavid era, is historically one of the most important cities of Iran. Imam Square, Imam Mescid garnished with exquisite blue mosaics, Chehel Sotun Palace dressed in fresco art and Imam Humeyni Square accepted as the World Heritage Site are among the highlights of the city. The majestic bridges on the Zayende River passing through Esfahan contributes to the atmosphere of the city. Siose Pol, one of these bridges, is one of the most significant architecures of country.
Alborz Mountains placed at the east of Tehran is a best place for skiing. The beaches along Persian Gulf, Caspian Sea and the Gulf of Oman are convenient places to enjoy sea and sand.
