General Information
Being one of the most significant points on the Historical Silk Road, Azerbaijan has been a bridge between the West and the East by its geographical location.
The rock paintings from the prehistory era, the volcanoes found at the Ramana Hill and the historical highlights of Baku are among the main components contributing to the national tourism.
Baku placed at Baku Bay on Absheron Peninsula attracts attention by its significant monuments. The Old Town is the most important part of the city. Shirvanshah Palace, Dzhuma and Shamakha Mosques are among the most valuable attractions placed here.
