General Information

Ethiopia is home to some of the best natural, historical and architectural attractions of the Continental Africa. Adis Ababa represents the modern face of country. Ethnology Museum placed at the city is an ideal collection to discover the rich ethnic structure of country. National Museum, Menelik Palace, Jubilee Palace, Meskal Square and Saint George Cathedral are the most popular sights of the capital.    

The archeological ruins of Aksum and Harar give information concerned with the long history of Ethiopia. Significant wall paintings and ruins are found in the caves at Dilla and Dire Dawa. Lalibela city near Tana is home to the carved stone churches which are among the most important tourism attractions of country. The 11 churches of Lalibela are above the ground level. 

Ethiopia is attractive by its geographic brilliants. Simien Mountains placed at the north part are accepted as the World Heritage Sites. Costituted of plateaues which are seperated by valleys, these mountains are home to Simien National Park. Seven lakes are existed at Rift Valley. Lagano, Abiata and Shana are the most popular ones. The Blue Nile taking root from Tana Lake is famous for its spas. This river is captivating. Dallol Debris placed at Afar Region formed Rift Valley. This region at one time, was subjected to the flood by Red Sea and filled with the basalt lavas spewed out by volcanoes. Many lakes at this region are the consequence of this lava.
