Geographic Location Romania is placed at the southeast part of the Central Europe. It has borders with Hungary at northwest, Yugoslavia at southwest, Bulgaria at south, the Black Sea at southeast, Ukraine at north and Moldova at east.

Climate Romania has generally a mild climate. Four seasons are lived. The moderate temperatures are realized in spring. Summer is excessively hot. General Information

The beaches along the Black Sea coast, splendid castles and fortresses, the ancient towns, the Danube Delta, the figured monasteries, spas, the fields with rich wild life being ideal for walks are among the main components of the country-wide tourism.

A great deal of castles and citadels substantially reflects the ancient era history of Romania. Peles Castle placed at Sinaia is one of the best castles of Europe. Having a Renaissance architecture, the castle has 160 rooms. Banffy Palace of Cluj, Bran Castle near Brasov, and Royalty, Cotroceni, Parlemento and Cantacuzino Palaces placed at Bucharest are a few of the other major ones.     
Romania attracts attention by its illustrated monasteries. Especially the ones placed at Bucovina are the best examples of pictorial art. These religious structures are preserved as the World Heritage Sites.   
Sibiu, Brasov and Sighisoara are among the best preserved ancient towns of Europe. Architectural structures standing as the most important symbols of Transylvania, small houses and cobblestoned narrow streets are amazing.  

Romania has one-third of thermal springs and mineral waters in Europe. These waters are used in the treatment of many diseases. Neptun, Eforie Nord, Covasna, Calimanesti, Govora, Herculane, Buzias, Mangalia, Borsec, Sovata and Tusnad are a few examples of the major spas. 

Danube Delta is one of the richest, versatile and best preserved deltas in Europe. Harboring a great range of birds, fish and plants, this glamorous natural brilliant enables to boat on. Here, you will find residential areas, dry and wet fields, sandy and muddy beaches, forests, aquatic fields and lakes. The beaches and vineyards along the Mediterranean coast are excellent holiday sites. Especially, the beaches stretching from Mangalia to Mamaia are full of diverse accomodation and entertainment alternatives.
