Dr. Candan Karlıtekin
Mr. Karlıtekin was born in Ankara in 1960. He graduated from Boğaziçi University Economy Department in 1983. He completed his MBA on “International Trade & Finance” at State University of New York Albany in 1984 and his Ph. D. on “International Trade & Finance and Macroeconomic Modeling” at the same university in 1988.He worked as research assistant (Statistics) and lecturer (Microeconomics) at State University of New York between 1984-1987, as an expert at DPT (the State Planning Organization) between 1988-1990. His other posts were:
1990-1991 part-time lecturer at Bilkent University,
1990-1993 research manager at Türkiye İhracat Kredi Bankası A.Ş.
1993-1994 merchant at BEM Foreign Trade A.Ş.,
1994-1996 head of department of Resource Development and Subsidiaries at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality,
1996-1997 chairman of the board and deputy general manager at T. Kalkınma Bankası A.Ş.
1999-2001 Consultant and General Manager at Beğendik Mağaza İşletmeleri A.Ş.
Shareholder and Manager at Derya İnşaat Yapı ve Çevre A.Ş since 1997 and at Özbakan Makina İnşaat San. Taah.ve Tic.Ltd.Şti. since 2002.
Mr. Karlıtekin is married with four children.
