New Code Share agreement with Malaysia Airlines

Dear Travel Partners,

Turkish Airlines has just signed a new code share agreement with Malaysia Airlines, which will go into effect on July 1, 2009. Turkish Airlines’ passengers traveling between Istanbul and Far East Asia will now have more flight choices available every week.

In alignment, passengers from Kuala Lumpur will be able to connect in any of the 115 international destinations in Turkish Airlines’ network, including routes to Turkey, Europe, North America, South America, Russia, Central Asia and the Middle East.

Passengers from Istanbul will also be able to enjoy the convenience of Malaysia Airlines’ wide network of connections to Malaysia and other popular destinations in the Asia Pacific. In total, Malaysia Airlines’ network covers 88 international destinations.

For the future, the two airlines are also working on an arrangement for a reciprocal frequent flyer program between Malaysia Airlines’ Enrich and Turkish airlines’ Miles and Smiles.
